On our homepage, just beneath the words “Dreamt up in Ibiza. Designed in Norway. Made in Europe.”, sits a small palm tree. It has quietly been part of STINA SEGERGREN from the very beginning – and today I want to tell you why.
A symbol of summer
To me, the palm tree is more than a tree. It is the feeling of warm sand under your feet, the sound of the sea, and long, slow days with nowhere to be. It is that moment when you finally take a deep breath and feel completely present.
From Singapore to Ibiza
I grew up between Singapore and Norway – two very different worlds. One full of heat, colour and palm trees, the other of fjords, light summer nights and long winters. And it was on a holiday in Ibiza, surrounded by palms and Mediterranean light, that I finally found the courage to start STINA SEGERGREN.
So in a way, the palm tree has followed me all along.
Bringing summer home
Here in Scandinavia, summer is short – which is exactly why we treasure it so much. My wish is that every piece I design carries a little of that summer feeling with it, wherever you are and whatever the weather.
Something new is in the works
The palm tree has lived quietly on our homepage until now – but behind the scenes, I'm working on something new inspired by it. It won't be ready until next season, so you'll have to be a little patient… but I promise it will be worth the wait. 🌴
